The Jashankir Earrings represent a simple geometric composition; the eight-pointed star, which forms the basis of many decorations in Mamluk architecture. The earrings are inspired by the marble panels on the walls of the Mausoleum of Sultan Baybars al-Jashankir, annexed to his funerary khanqah built in 1310, and are set with a combination of Pearls and Champagne
