SUMA COLLECTION
SUMA, launched in 2014, was the first dedicated tribute. Lyrics we know by heart became part of our design language: calligraphies and silhouettes that carry the weight of love. From there, her songs began to live within our pieces. What started as a salute grew into signatures of our craft, a pillar of who we are.
CELEBRATING UMM KULTHUMON THE SILVER SCREEN
For years, Azza Fahmy has been fascinated with the life and work of Umm Kulthum, a fascination that was translated into two collections dedicated to the legend. It was a true full circle moment when 2 years ago director Marwan Hamed approached Azza Fahmy and Amina Ghali to design and curate the jewellery for ‘El Sett’, the biopic detailing the life of the Egyptian icon. It was a deeply rewarding, yet challenging, journey: we researched, dug through archives, and revisited the star’s and the era’s most significant moments. The result is reimagined jewellery that honours her and belongs to her era.
